What are they?

Exactly what the name suggests - a subject against a black or dark background. The nature of black background portraits requires that the availability of a barn or indoor arena be guaranteed. These sessions take place just inside the doorway of said structure. If you have any questions regarding an appropriate location, please ask and include a picture of the location in question.
